From the Herald: Arbroath United have been crowned league champions tonight (Saturday) after a nail biting match against Carlton in Edinburgh.
United claimed a five run victory to win the game and the league in what was a tense finish.
After going into bat first, the Lochlands men set a total of 227 with Brendan Ford notching up a total of 112.
Carlton then chased back and took it down to the wire, needing 14 runs in the last over.
But it was too much for the home side and United grabbed a memorable victory and the Eastern Premier League title.
