From the Sunday Mail: ALLAN MOORE admitted his league leaders nodded off after Arbroath's three-goal cushion almost went up in smoke.
Bobby Linn notched the Red Lichties first from the edge of the area before Simon Murray and Dylan Carreiro struck.
Despite wintery conditions, Ryan McStay and Scott Davidson had Annan within one goal with three minutes left.
Moore said: “For 80 minutes it was the best we’ve played in about four weeks. It was poor defending for the second goal then it could have been anyone’s game.”
Annan boss Jim Chapman said: “It was a case of one team knowing how to play in these conditions and one that didn’t.”
