Arbroath have just added new more two players to their ranks, but Craig Tully's career at Gayfield is over.
Boss John McGlashan has signed defender Joe Dingwall from Raith Rovers and Albion Rovers centre- forward Kenny Wright, both on one-year deals.
Dingwall (19), who was freed by Rovers earlier this month, can play in a variety of positions but has been snapped up essentially as a left-back.The pacey Wright (22) was previously on the books of Stranraer and Motherwell. He made 27 appearances for the Steelmen during his four year spell at Fir Park.
Tully has been released because McGlashan feels his squad is top heavy with central defenders. And joining the former Dundee player in leaving Gayfield could be Stuart Ferguson who missed the latter part of last season through injury.
"We haven't offered Stuart a new contract but have invited him back for pre-season training," revealed McGlashan. The problem we have is judging his fitness for the rigours of the second division. Pre-season would give us the chance to assess things, although obviously he is free to fix up with another club in the meantime."
McGlashan has re-signed Steven Rennie and Terry Masson on fresh 12-month contracts. The manager is hopeful of concluding re-signing negotiations with skipper Barry Sellars within the next few days.
Talks with the out-of- contract trio of Alan Brazil, Robbie Raeside and Paul Tosh are on-going. Discussions with back-up keeper Scott Morrison are also planned.
