Top of the league - but only for attendance

Last updated : 02 December 2007 By Crowds
Arbroath `surged' to the top of the table for the start of December - with an average home attendance of 646 for the 7 home games played so far.

That's way ahead of the 463 punters which is the average gate for the whole division. But Arbroath won this divisional title last season (2006-7) with an average of 730. So indifferent form this season and especially mediocre home performances mean our attendance are actually well DOWN this year - by 11% compared with the divison average of 7% fewer

Note that the highest crowd of the year in this division is still our first away game in August at Montrose - and yet they would claim that the away support comprised a mere fraction of those present.

An occasional win at home urgently needed to stay ahead in this particular title race
