from the Courier:
Arbroath's Board are determined to support Weir’s efforts but chairman John Christison revealed the postponements of the Boxing Day meeting with East Fife and Saturday’s Angus derby with Brechin has hit the club hard.
“Although these matches will be played at some stage you simply don’t get the same income in a midweek that you do over the festive period,” said Christison.
“I’d estimate that we’ve missed out on £15,000 all told and, coming on the back of our Scottish Cup exit at the hands of Irvine Meadow, that has big ramifications turnover-wise.
“Thankfully, the SFA have made payments to clubs which will help tide us over. But that’s money we’d have got at some stage anyway.
“What’s really disappointing is that we made representations to the SFL last year after we weren’t allocated a home game over the Christmas and New Year period and this time around we got two.
“But what can you do?
