A decent home crowd today tho fewer away fans than expected. Yet again fans witnessed an absorbing game. Arbroath oozed class going forward and, after a well-worked early goal should have been more clinical in oputting a series of chances away.
Airdrie improved greatly second half and carved out chances of their own almost at will. Some excellent Hill saves and some luck kept us ahead.
Excellent entertainment - and still top of the league. though the 4 home games we've played out of 6 might flatter. Let's keep this going and try and bury teams when we're on top.
BBC Report Arbroath maintained their place at the top of the Second Division with a comfortable win over Airdrie United.
Kieran McAnespie slotted home from striker Steven Doris' cross to give the hosts a sixth-minute lead.
Doris headed into the net from a Gavin Swankie corner on 63 minutes but Airdrie's Graeme Owens soon converted a free kick to reduce the deficit.
But Swankie's long-range effort in the final minute ensured the home side claimed victory.
