On breezy fresh afternoon at Gayfield, both sides created quite a few chances. Arbroath started well and Swankie missed a one on one, soon after a great Sheerin cross fell to Sibanda who found the net.
Rovers came into well and equalised through Gemmill. They looked like they were taking a grip when an alert Swankie ran onto a trhough ball to round the keeper. Then a corner on the left fell to Falkingham who struck a great shot high into the net
Against the win the next goal was critical. A lovely bit of skill by Gaving Swankie who juggled the ball on the edge of the box then volleyed home. Albion contorlled the game from then on in but a mazy run and deflected shot from Sheerin gave us the fifth, then on fulltime a strong run into the box by Caddis was turned into the net by Samuel
Arbroath looked good in patches and the goals were great. But Albion will feel the 6-1 scoreline hardly a fair reflection. On another day they could have run us close if they'd taken their many chances
