A start for new sgning Stephen Weir who ran around well but still to fit in. Masson and Tosh came on as subs on 60 minutes repalcing Weir and a strangely ineffective Lunan.
We had a shaky start as Fife dominated and it took an alert Hill to keep us in the game twice. But it settled down and we started playing for a while
Both sides squandered chances before half-time with only Jamie Bishop's chip wide troubling East Fife's goal. Flyer had a great run in and squared. Sellars smashed another inches wide, and Gates had the beating of their fullback first half but his crosses were disappointing. The home fans - rather thin on the ground - were in a positive mood at the start of the second. But in truth we fell away badly second half. Efife tightened up al over the park and won many corners.
These late goals against are a worry. With a limited squad we need to be grinding out results early seasonWe were not very cohesive today but solid enough against a mediocre East Fife, despite their large and talented player pool. Apart from Gates carving out openings, we were a bit light up front and not very assertive in midfield.
