Ninth win in nick of time
Arbroath sealed a ninth straight league win with a 2-1 defeat over Albion at Gayfield Park, courtesy of a last-minute penalty from Steven Doris.
Derek Holmes' close-range shot after 18 minutes put the home side ahead, after he latched onto a Colin Hamilton cross.
But Albion levelled on 26 minutes when Ciaran Donnelly's header found the corner of the Arbroath net.
Just before half-time Albion substituted injured defender Kevin Green with midfielder Simon Marriott. And after the break Daniel
Rennie replaced Lee Sibanda for Arbroath.
Albion's Christopher Boyle found the book for unsporting behaviour before being replaced by Ryan Tiffeny.
But it was Arbroath who always looked the likely winners with Derek Holmes making way for Darren Gribben, and Brian Kerr being replaced by Paul Currie.
Paul Sheerin saw yellow, for unsporting behaviour, following a challenge on Albion's Alan Reid, but it was his 92nd-minute corner that led to Donnelly handling, and Doris stepping forward to secure all three points from the spot.
